We were told by our tour guide that residents of Meknes feel forgotten by the royals who don’t visit their beloved city as often as they would prefer. Then again a couple of weeks after our visit I don’t really remember much of the city myself. Don’t get me wrong, Meknes is a beautiful city with a huge marketplace that is so confused to navigate it’s best not to make to many turns once you’re inside. But we spent only a few hours in Meknes and I feel that was just enough.
