Day four was going to be our last vacation day with a late night flight back to Wrocław, Poland. We decided to spend it as much as possible soaking in the hot Cretan sun before facing the harsh reality of a Polish autumn back at home.

After packing up we drove toward the airport and found the closest beach to kill time and enjoy an easy day of pure relaxation.

Just before it was time to head to the airport we stopped by a couple of monasteries for one last touristy chance of seeing something new. Unfortunately one of the monasteries is getting renovated and the other charged a 2 euro entry fee that we didn’t feel the need to pay. So with a few photos from the outside we waved good bye and returned our rental awaiting our flight home.

To sum this trip up; it was an awesome 4 days! I’d love to come back again some day for the food, the beaches, the sun… I highly recommend Crete as a great vacation destination.
