If you ever need a place to stay in Krakow (Crocow), I highly recommend Hostel Deco. Karolina has stayed there before, but it was my first time there this past week and I am simply blown away by the conditions of this hostel. Through the past four months I’ve stayed in several hostels, and I can only describe my experience with them as “shady” at best. One was an old train depot, another a school dormitory that was empty and rented out while school was out.
But Hostel Deco gave a great hotel feeling at a hostel price. Every room named and decorated after a famous actress to the likes of Marlene Dietrich, Greta Garbo, or the fashion guru Coco Chanel. The reception desk was especially helpful and detailed everything in really good English so that my buddy Jeff did not feel left out. Kitchen with a free breakfast, free WiFi and computers to use if you don’t have one of your own. Very clean bathroom facilities with a washer and dryer. Simply everything and so much more for an extremely low price. They have many common rooms, but have a few of single occupancy ones as well. And did I mention it was only a 10 minute walk to the center square of Krakow?
We stayed in the Greta Garbo room where I had reserved 3 out of the 4 rooms inside, but luckily no one else showed up and we had the room to ourselves. Naturally, we didn’t spend too much time in there. But if you ever need a roof over your head in Krakow, you know where to go. Check out the link below to view their gallery of photos. Here’ are a few taken from within our room.
