While still pretty hot from our Intermot official showing of the Schwalbe, this week GOVECS presented Schwalbe at EICMA in Milan, Italy.

Our booth took on a little different arrangement from just a month ago due to an EICMA regulation on open floor space percentage, and while just a little smaller than at Intermot, we still managed to show off our pride and joy; the Schwalbe electric scooter. With just the smallest of hiccups that kept us thinking fast on our feet.

While putting a scooter on the show stand it slipped and fell off its centerstand without the front wheel mounted. The unfortunate outcome was a broken front fender and a lot of stress on day one. We fixed it early in the morning the following day after a brainstorming session with the team. Afterward the scooter looked as if nothing ever happened. I did mention these are prototypes, right?

Located just across the isle from the Piaggio group, we had a front row seat to Vespa’s unveiling of their first electric scooter, the Elettrica. It’s a great looking scooter and I believe that Piaggio’s entry to the electric scooter market validates what GOVECS has been doing for the past seven years.
