I saw this at the supermarket a while ago and was pretty amazed. How does one combat the most popular all purpose lubricant with the uttermost recognizable name in the industry?

Well, by trying to copy the success of the name of course. Case and point, CX-80. It does roll off the tip of the tongue quite well, I have to admit, but doubt it will catch on.
Is this CX-80 an international product as well? Any of you ever compare the two?
